America's Best High School

Delano high school is proud to be selected again as one of the best high schools in America according to U. S. News & World Report. Congratulations to the staff and administration of DHS.  Good job Tigers!

Welcome to Delano High School

Delano High School is one of the “best kept secrets of the valley” according to our most recent WASC visiting team, and it is because the hard work of our outstanding students, the tireless effort of our teachers and staff, and the support of our parents and community that we were able to earn such an incredible distinction. We are a California Distinguished School, a “Shining Star” school, U.S. News and World Report “Bronze Medal” honorees, Golden Bell Award recipients, and Title I Academic Achievement Award winners. Delano High is a school with rich traditions and a contagious spirit, and the DHS tigers continue to honor this legacy through their efforts in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
There are many ways that you can become involved in our school. You can come out and cheer on our award-winning athletic teams or listen to the beautiful music of our band and choir.  You can also show your support for MESA, Mock Trial, and FFA at their many competitions.  There are opportunities for you to join our booster club as well as a variety of parent advisory groups.  We value your contribution and would like to continue to partner with you to make our 101st school year, “Better than Ever.”
Thank you for visiting our website; I hope you will find it useful. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any  questions or concerns at (661) 720-4121.
