The Delano Joint Union High School District is proud to announce that Chavez Collegiate High School (CCHS) has been recognized as one of America’s Healthiest Schools for 2026 by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. The national recognition honors schools that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to supporting the health and well-being of students, staff, and families through evidence-based practices and wellness initiatives.

This year, 1,376 schools across 35 states and Washington, D.C., earned the distinction of being named to the America’s Healthiest Schools list. The program recognizes schools that create healthy learning environments and promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being as part of their daily school culture.

CCHS was selected for its ongoing efforts to foster a supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. Through programs and practices that promote wellness, student engagement, and healthy lifestyles, CCHS continues to prioritize the whole-child approach to education.
