Delano Joint Union High School District is proud to announce that Delano High School and Cesar E. Chavez High School have been named 2026 California Distinguished Schools by the California Department of Education.

The California Distinguished Schools Program recognizes outstanding middle and high schools across the state for exemplary student achievement, effective instructional practices, and a strong commitment to supporting all students. Schools are selected based on performance data from the California School Dashboard, with an emphasis on academic success and progress for historically underserved student groups.

This prestigious recognition reflects the collective efforts of our students, teachers, administrators, staff, families, and community partners. Their dedication to academic excellence and continuous improvement has helped create supportive learning environments where students can thrive.
