DJUHSD District Teacher Honored at Education Champions of the Year Celebration
The Delano Joint Union High School District proudly celebrated excellence in education at the Education Champions of the Year Celebration held on Thursday, May 7, at the Bell Tower in Bakersfield.
Representing DJUHSD at this special event were Superintendent Mr. Moore, Cesar Chavez High School Principal Mr. Derrick, and Mrs. Cruz, who was recognized as the DJUHSD District Teacher of the Year.
This celebration highlighted the dedication, passion, and impact of outstanding educators and leaders across the region. Mrs. Cruz’s recognition reflects her unwavering commitment to student success and her ability to inspire excellence in the classroom each day.
“We are incredibly proud of Mrs. Cruz and the meaningful difference she makes in the lives of our students,” said district leadership. “Her recognition is a testament to the high-quality teaching and leadership found throughout DJUHSD.”
