Students Network to Develop Citizenship, leadership skills
Students from Delano and Chavez High FBLA chapters attended the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Officers and Advisers Training (OAT) day in Madera, CA on September 15.

Nine Chavez members and six from Delano, attended the one-day conference. Members were busy participating in workshops to hone their skills in leadership, community service, career development, and competitive events. They also set goals and planned upcoming events to prepare their chapter for the school year.
CCHS FBLA President Paola Garcia said, “It was an inspiring and motivational experience for all officers. We learned many skills regarding how to efficiently lead our members and collaborate with each other in order to help our chapter succeed.”
Officers for the Delano FBLA chapter are: Kristian Cavazos, President, Champagne Concepcion, Vice President, Hannah Medina, Parliamentarian, Jamaica Nicolas, Historian, Humberto Guzman, Secretary, Frences Parami, Treasurer, Fernando Alaniz, Reporter. Mr. Craig Niebles advises the DHS chapter.
Officers for the Chavez FBLA chapter are: Paola Garcia, President, Cassandra Mangohig, Vice President, Andre Calibuso, Secretary, Carlos Zepeda, Treasurer, Jylen Paraiso, Historian, and Karen Mendoza, Reporter. Ms. Rosemarie Dao advises the Chavez FBLA chapter.
