Angel Sandoval, Maintenance Tech 2 at Robert F. Kennedy High School, has been selected as the Classified Employee of the Year at Delano Joint Union High School District.
Nominated by his MOT supervisor, Matt Carter, Sandoval was praised for going above and beyond in his job as Maintenance worker 2.
“Angel has good work ethic and will attempt to do any job that he is assigned,” said Carter. “Angel always makes sure that his school site is in good operation before going home for the day. If at any time day or night, I call upon Angel for anything he will make sure that the situation is taking care of. Angel has a very fast turnaround rate on closing his assigned work orders as well.”
Sandoval came to the District in 2003 as a custodian at CCHS. In 2005, he became a Utility Worker and Bus Driver. For the past two years, he has been a Maintenance Worker 2 at RFKHS.
“It is an honor and was very excited to hear I was chosen as Classified Employee of the Year because it’s a very big accomplishment for me,” said Sandoval when given the news. “I enjoy working here because there’s always something new to do in my field every day.”
