Migrant Honor Student 2022 Selected

David Gutierrez Silva, a senior at Robert F. Kennedy High School, has been selected as Migrant Honor Student for 2022.  He was recognized by his counselors and teachers, who believed he possessed qualities that embodied the values and priorities of our migrant community. His application and interview process revealed that he possessed distinct characteristics of leadership, self-sacrifice, community service, work ethic and passion for education that his teachers believe will enable him to accomplish any dream he endeavors to pursue.

He is a leader admired for his dedication, strong work ethic, initiative, and dedication. David is enrolled in AP classes and holds a 3.92 GPA. He was involved in Where Everyone Belongs, Advancement Via Individual Determination, and MEP summer programs, where he mentored students struggling academically. David participates in MEP Speech and Debate. David plans on pursuing a degree at the University of California (UC), Los Angeles, and ultimately a career in accounting, business, or finance.

David es un estudiante de último año de la Preparatoria Robert F. Kennedy. Es un líder admirado por su dedicación, su fuerte ética de trabajo, su iniciativa y su dedicación. Está inscripto en clases de nivel avanzado, y su GPA es de 3.92. Participó en los programas Where Everyone Belongs, Avance a través de la Determinación Individual y en los programas de verano del MEP, donde fue mentor de estudiantes con dificultades académicas. David participa en Discurso y Debate del MEP. Tiene planeado estudiar para obtener un título y una carrera en contabilidad, administración o finanzas en la Universidad de California (UC, por sus siglas en inglés), Los Ángeles.
