Warming Hearts at Valley View Care Center
Valley High School leadership students attended a community service trip to Valley View Care Center, also known as the old Browning Manor across from Cesar E. Chavez High School. The students spent a few hours with the residents at the center. They played loteria, indoor catch, put puzzles together, and simply spent time talking with the patients.
"While that is enough to warm your heart, I was most touched by the kids asking if they could go back to visit on their own time. They shared that it was such a fulfilling experience and truly enjoyed the wisdom the patients shared...and most of all...their smiles," said Valley High School Principal Rodriguez.
