Titan Band Season Review

The CCHS Titan Band recently finished their competitive marching season in mid November. After months of serious, focused and detailed practices and halftime shows at the varsity football games, The Titan Band finished another stunning season of success. Within four weeks the Titan Band won a Class 4A championship at Ridgeview High School, A Grand Sweepstakes at The Orange Cove Parade and field show competition and finished with a glorious Field show Sweepstakes victory at the Stockdale High Spectacular.

A few days later, the Band performed at the Veterans Day Showcase in Porterville. It was there that the local newspaper coined CCHS's performance as "Jaw Dropping"! Within these performances were several accolades that included top scores in Visuals, General effect, Music, Brass, Woodwind, Percussion, Color Guard and Drum Major. Further, these event top scores came with several Superior ratings for the Band. These victories were earned against some tough competition that included South High, BHS, Ridgeview High, Golden West, Tulare Union, Tulare Western, Monache High and several others. In fact, at every event the Band "Repeated" their Championship performance and achievements from the previous year.

Back to Back! It was a tremendous season and we are so proud of our students. Mr. and Mrs. G would like to thank our music staff, the CCHS and District administration, the school board, Coach Jesse Ortega, the maintenance staff and the CCHS woodshop classes under the teachings of Mr. Duran for their support during the season.
