The Delano Adult School (DAS) is part of the Delano Joint Union High School District. It is located in the San Joaquin Valley in the city of Delano, a community of approximately 53,855. The Delano Adult School serves students from Kern and Tulare counties which include the communities of Delano, Earlimart, Richgrove, Pond, Columbine, and Allensworth. Adult education classes have been offered in the district for over thirty years, but Delano Adult School did not become a distinct administrative unit until 1974. Its programs include High School Diploma, GED preparation, Basic Skills, ESL, Vocational Education Training, Computer Training, Citizenship, and Substantially Handicapped.
