Nursing Assistant Training

This program prepares students in caring for the ill and convalescing patients. The class is a three-month period with students receiving 100 hours of class instruction and 100 hours of clinical experience. In class, students learn basic anatomy and physiology, human development, factors affecting health, basic nursing care, charting techniques, and the role and responsibility of a health care provider. In the clinical area, the student learns and uses skills in the care of patients in a long-term care facility under the direct supervision of the instructor.
NAT classes are offered two times a year – September and Late February (Please note these dates may change). This program is approximately three months. A class schedule will be available at the time classes begin.

Our Nursing Assistant Training class is articulated with Bakersfield College for college credits.
