As the principal of Robert F. Kennedy High School, it is my honor to welcome all of you for an exciting school year on campus. I am confident this school year will be one of the most memorable educational experiences for you and your student. The Robert F. Kennedy family provides a welcoming and stimulating environment where all students are actively engaged in the learning process. Our staff takes pride in a professional learning community where teachers regularly collaborate, develop assessments, analyze data, and plan instruction to ensure that students meet their full potential. Our staff of highly qualified professional educators and support personnel are committed to providing our students many opportunities inside and outside of the classroom. A variety of innovative courses are available to them that will prepare them as college and career ready and challenge them to be critical thinkers. The Robert F. Kennedy family wants and values your involvement and support in your child’s education. Your active participation is key to the success of your student. I invite and encourage parents to work in partnership with us to seize opportunities to prepare GLOBAL students:
Genuine when contributing to their community;
Legitimate when using technology;
Optimistic toward self-improvement;
Broad-minded when considering career opportunities;
Adaptable when solving problems; and,
Loyal to the legacy of RFKOur partnership with our families and community is an integral part of the success of RFK. We encourage parents to become involved, whether through attending school events or being a part of one of the many committees or support groups aimed at improving our campus, such as the following: English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), Title I Parent Meetings, School Site Council (SSC), Safe Schools Committee, or WASC Focus Committees. It is essential to seek parent feedback and support for continued school improvement. According to the adage, “it takes a village to raise a child.” Together, we will work towards one common goal…building champions together! Go Thunderbirds!!
Again, I welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year. Be prepared to be actively engaged in a place that is alive with much energy, enthusiasm, and a high standard of excellence.
Sincerely,
Raudel Rojas
