I am enthusiastic about teaching students to love reading and to be proud of their accomplishments and milestones. I have both a Bacherlor's Degree and a Master's Degree in English from California State University, Bakersfield. I enjoy reading and typically read 1-5 novels a year for pleasure. This is my 8th year in the classroom and my 7th year at DHS. GO TIGERS! Although, I attended Tehachapi High School, I am a tiger at heart. 

I am also the Anti-Bully Club advisor at DHS. We are promoting tolerance and inclusion. Our goal is to end the reign of bullies and to accept all people regardless of differences.
