Dear Delano High School parents, guardians, and community members,
It is with great excitement and a deep sense of pride that I introduce myself as the new principal of Delano High School. Having served in the Delano Joint Union High School District since 1998, where I began my journey as the principal's secretary at Delano High School, I am thrilled to return to the campus that holds a special place in my heart. As we say, "Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger."
It is an honor and a privilege to serve the Tiger community once again. I am committed to working closely with each of you to ensure that your students experience success in every aspect of their high school journey. I firmly believe that our partnership with families and the broader community is an integral part of the success of Delano High School. Together, we can create a nurturing and stimulating environment where every student can thrive.
I encourage all parents and guardians to become actively involved in our school community. Your participation can take many forms, whether it is attending school events, supporting your student’s activities, or joining one of our many committees, such as the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), School Site Council (SSC), Safe Schools, or the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) committee. Your engagement is invaluable and contributes significantly to the positive atmosphere and academic excellence at Delano High School.
As we embark on this new school year, let us embrace our school motto: RISE. ROAR. REPEAT. This motto encapsulates our spirit and commitment to excellence. To RISE means to overcome challenges and strive for our highest potential. To ROAR represents our pride in our achievements and our confidence in expressing ourselves. To REPEAT signifies our dedication to consistently bringing our best effort, day after day.
I look forward to meeting you and working together to make this a memorable and successful year for our students. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have. Our collective efforts will ensure that Delano High School continues to be a place where students can grow, learn, and succeed.
Thank you for your support and for being an essential part of the Tiger family. Together, we will make great things happen.
Warm regards,
Dolores Rodríguez
