The Sports Medicine course is a two semester course designed for students who are interested in fields such as athletic training, physical therapy, nursing, kinesiology, nutrition, EMT, as well as other medical related fields. The sports medicine course will predominantly offer instruction and application in the skills and techniques necessary for the prevention, evaluation, and care of athletic injuries. Topics that will be covered include: CPR/First-Aid Certification, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Evaluation of athletic injuries, Treatment and Rehabilitation, as well as emergency situations, administration, and professional responsibility.
