Child Development

The goals of the District's Child Development services are to provide a high quality school readiness program that prepares young children to enter a physicaly and socially developed with early literacy and language skills needed for school success. To achieve this goal the programs and services for preschool children are designed based on the belief that school success comes with an early start.
The District:
- supports a developmentally appropriate research based curriculum;
- maintains continuity between preschool and elementary grades;
- provides parent-access to training and school involvement; and
- conducts on-going assessment and program evaluation.
The District's Child Development services focus is on preparing children at the earliest age to enter school to be successful readers and learners.
