Re: 2022 20th avenue & Norwalk street pavement resurfacing & rehabilitation project
- Norwalk Street – from 14th Avenue to County Line Road
- 20th Avenue – from Norwalk Street to Girard Street
The 2022 20th Avenue & Norwalk Street pavement resurfacing and rehabilitation project is scheduled to begin Monday September 25, 2023 and be completed near the middle of November 2023 during the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
DURING THE HOURS OF: 7:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.: beginning September 25, 2023, operations will begin to reconstruct the various road segments above. The work in general consists of lowering of utilities, grinding of existing asphalt and repaving the street. Utility adjustment will have minimal impacts to on-street parking delineated by temporary no-parking signs. Traffic may at times be limited to one lane.
On days where the road is to be grinded and resurfaced, parking along affected street will not be permitted in areas posted with “no parking” signs, which will be placed 72 hours prior to work beginning. These signs will have specific dates and times so that all parking on the street will be restricted. Cars parked within the posted “no parking” area on the dates and time specified will be towed away at the owner’s expense. Road closures and detours will be in place for portions of this work.
We will make every effort to ensure that access to your residence is minimally impacted during the days that these activities are occurring. We ask that you use extra caution navigating the streets while work is underway. If the day scheduled is your normal trash/sanitation day, please note that we will not affect trash pickup.
