The regional office and districts that are granted migrant funds must establish a plan to support migrant parents through capacity building and to ensure parent input through parent advisory councils.
The Regional Parent Advisory Council (RAC) is made up of two parent representatives from each participating district. The RAC meets monthly to assist the Region in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Regional Application.

Parent Engagement Seminar
State Migrant Parent Conference and Regional Migrant Parent Conference
The California Department of Education hosts an annual Migrant Parent Conference in collaboration with the State Parent Advisory Council (SPAC). The State Migrant Parent Conference serves more than 1000 migrant parents from throughout the state and provides learning opportunities through educational workshops and keynote speakers.
